No Appointment Necessary, Towing Available

We are open 8-5, Monday through Friday (except national holidays), and we offer towing on those days. You can earn a bonus by delivering the car. If you cannot drop your vehicle off during regular hours, leave it at the gate and we'll complete the transaction when you arrive with a title. Don't worry about draining fluids, removing the battery, etc. We do not charge for storage for the first 90 days; if you need more time, please contact us. Thank you for considering A-1.

Payment is for complete, titled, later-models delivered to our 2080 Lamb Road facility. We harvest in-demand parts and return metals, plastics, and fluids to the automotive food chain. Sell your car in May. Detroit will have those materials back in action before the same year's Sturgis Rally. Please contact us for an exact quote, especially if you are selling a newer or incomplete vehicle. Be advised, cars 20 years old and more will be rated at $50 per ton.

What is a Salvage Title?

Salvage brand cars are registered and driven like any other car in South Dakota. "Salvage" is a vague term; the 'why' is important. A 2012 Taurus with a side hit may get a "salvage" brand while the same damage is repaired on a 2023 Taurus, leaving the title unchanged. "Salvage" from hard collisions and light hail are not the same. Once you know why, savings can lean in your favor. Most vehicles on the road today have been repaired. We drive cars, not titles; a little research can make a big difference. Get pre-repair photos where possible.

How Important is the Catalytic Converter?

For older cars, the converter can be the majority of the value, even though prices in the platinum metal group have fallen by 85% or more since 2022. If you are having trouble finding your car’s catalytic converter, it may have been repiped or even stolen. Sometimes finding it may not be enough, if the contents have been damaged or removed. We will examine your vehicle at the time of sale and let you know if anything is amiss. Be advised, converters are of no additional value on cars 20 years old or more.
